Separation From The World

Christians often hear that they are separate from the world. Typically in Pentecostal churches, separate means wearing a skirt, having long hair, and having no jewelry or makeup (for women). Men, on the other hand, focus more on wearing nice shirts and pants, having cut hair, and perhaps no facial hair (though this is becoming phased out in many churches).

Fighting Back

Recently someone on Facebook posted in a group on obeying pastors. My initial response was that the logic behind that thinking led to so many travesties that could’ve been prevented if one had not simply “obeyed” their lord.

SIX POINTS OF REFORM

(The Article of the Present Religious Reformation).

(As revealed to Osbert Wellington, and taught vehemently by the believers in God’s awakening message – the message of the present reform. This message is not just cleaning up the churches, but reviving the basic tenets of the Christian message and drawing souls to God’s kingdom. – This leaflet is gradually been distributed throughout the world).
I, Osbert Wellington, at the age of sixteen, having been conscious of the hand of the Lord upon my life before that age as revealed and testified by many, I fully gave my life to Jesus Christ, knowing from that year the depth of this great salvation, though born into a Christian home.

The Radical Christian

Imagine waking up to a world where skin color has become a weapon by which people can freely through around racism, as long as it doesn’t affect their skin color. Imagine being told you are a white supremacist for following a more-than-likely brown man as a prophet and how your religion is a white person’s religion and is all about violence and bloodshed. Yes, this is today, and I’ve been awake to see most of it.

A Refute To: Should Christians Drink

A Refute To: Should Christians Drink
Alcoholic Beverages?
What Does The Bible Say?

Ken Raggio’s comments are in the quotes below.

Here is what the Bible says about drinking alcoholic beverages:

Proverbs 20:1 – “Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.”

Leviticus 10:9 – “Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations.”

Proverbs 31:4-5 – “It is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.”

Proverbs 23:31-32 – “Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.”

Habakkuk 2:15 – “Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also…”

On Being People Smart

Dear Ministers and Leaders in ministries:

After a careful analysis of various churches, ministers, and testimonies, I have come to the conclusion that churches in themselves are not the problem, we are. How often do we lose people, who were starting to come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, because of our behavior and attitude? How often do we not have the right motivations behind our speech? How often do we fail to be more Christ-like to others, including our own church family? Thomas Gordon provides a list of communication spoilers and from this, I will attempt to not only explain our problems but also guide us toward solutions.

Churches: Clothes and Colors

What happens when your church starts to dictate what, how, and in what colors your clothes should be? Normally most churches ban a certain color or two for men. Most colors, if not all colors, are open to women. So what happens when your church leader tells the young women that she must pray to decide what color they will wear? For one, there is no scriptural principle for praying about what colors people’s clothing should be in. In fact, ‘ Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? ‘ Matthew 6:25
